The story of the Buller family’s involvement with the Australian wine industry starts in 1921, when Reginald (Reg) Buller spent six months working at the Mildura Winery. The experience prompted him to look for his own vineyard and he eventually settled on a 170 acre property at Rutherglen.
By the end of the 1930’s, Buller Wines had started to prosper and in 1951 Reg bought a second vineyard and built a new winery. The location of this new venture was at Beverford near Swan Hill, some 350km west of Rutherglen. Since that time the business has continued to be run as a family company.
