Launched in 1992 the Tesco Nurture accreditation scheme is dedicated to ensuring all fruit and vegetables supplied to their stores are grown to environmental and responsible standards.

Kono Horticulture has been part of the scheme for several years and has achieved Silver Certificate of Conformity.  To gain this Kono Horticulture are able to demonstrate and are committed to:

• Tracing all product back to source
• Growing and selecting highest quality fruit
• Protecting wildlife and landscape conservations
• Encouraging sustainable practises in our operation by monitoring our use of energy, valuing natural resources and recycling
• Rationalising the use of artificial pesticides, fertilisers and manures
• Ensuring all Kono Horticulture Staff are treated in a responsible maner
