Martyn King | Kono Horticulture CEO
Marty’s career has covered many roles within the horticulture industry including operating his own business and spending time developing orchards and marketing fruit in mainland China. Marty is married to Shona and has two grown children, Hamish and Hannah.
Cherie Tāwhai | Administration Manager
Cherie has lived within the Motueka region for a number of years with her family and daughter. With a background in the fishing industry, retail and environmental management, Cherie is responsible for the HR, compliance systems, administration and PA assistance to the CEO. Cherie is of Ngā Puhi descent.
Luke Hawthorne | Production Manager
Starting as the Packhouse/Development Manager in 2006, Luke became the Production Manager in 2009. This involves the day-to-day running of 170 hectares of apples, pears, hops, tawea and stevia. Growing high denisity dwarf apple trees is his passion and he finds his job challenging and enjoyable. Luke is married with two sons and is of Ngā Puhi descent.
Frances Cunningham | Coolstore Mangager
Prior to becoming Coolstore Manager, Frances worked in hospitality and retail petroleum forecourt management. The key things that she enjoys about her position is the physical and mental demands that it places on her. Living in Motueka, Frances is the youngest of three siblings.
