Tohu Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2016, produced by food, wine and drinks company Kono, has been named in this year’s Fine Wines of New Zealand – a compilation of the country’s most prestigious wines for 2017.

"We are thrilled to gain this recognition from some of New Zealand's foremost Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers, particularly as they focus on enduring excellence when looking for the wines that make up this selection," Rachel Taulelei, CEO, Kono says.

"Wine making is both a science and an art, and it is awesome that the hard work, skill and dedication of our winegrowing team, led by Bruce Taylor, has seen one of our top wines named as one of New Zealand's top wines."

“We are really happy and proud to join this prestigious list, particularly as our wine is a single vineyard wine from Marlborough's Upper Awatere Valley," Bruce Taylor, Kono's Chief Winemaker says. "The Upper Awatere Valley is a unique sub-region of Marlborough, and our special site here helps us produce this special wine."
